Plumeria (Frangipani)

Plumeria, better known as Frangipani, has thick, soft branches and clusters of sweet smelling flowers in creamy white and yellow, often used for the tropical flower garlands seen in some hotels and resorts.

It comes in a 30cm pot and grows 80 to 100cm tall, doing best in a full sun spot in your UAE garden or a large sunny pot on a terrace. It flowers most through the warmer months of the year.

Water it well but let the soil dry out between waterings, since it does not like wet roots. In cooler winter months it may lose some leaves and rest, this is normal, just reduce watering during that time and it will grow back fully in spring.
