Ixora

Ixora is a compact flowering shrub that gives round clusters of small red or orange flowers almost all year, making it a favourite for colourful, low maintenance UAE gardens.

It comes in a 20cm pot and grows 40 to 50cm tall, doing best in full sun to light shade. It is often planted in groups along a border or shaped into a small, neat hedge near a driveway or garden path.

Water it 2 to 3 times a week, and feed it once a month during the warmer growing season for the best flowering. Light trimming after each flowering cycle keeps the shape neat and encourages even more flower clusters.
