Jasmine (Yasmin)

Jasmine, called Yasmin locally, is a climbing plant with small white star shaped flowers known for their strong, sweet smell, especially in the evening, a scent familiar in gardens and homes across the UAE.

It comes in a 20cm pot and grows best when given a trellis, wall, or fence to climb on, so plant it near a support in a spot with morning sun and some afternoon shade in the hottest months.

Water it regularly, about every 2 to 3 days in summer, keeping the soil a little moist but not soaking wet. With regular light trimming, it grows thicker and produces more flowers, filling your outdoor space with its scent through the evening.
