Snake Plant

Snake Plant, also called Sansevieria, is one of the toughest indoor plants you can own. It has tall, stiff, upright leaves with a dark green pattern, and it comes in a 20cm pot, growing to about 50cm. In the wild it grows in dry parts of Africa, so it is already built for long gaps between watering.

In UAE homes and offices, Snake Plant is a top pick because air conditioning makes the air dry, and this plant does not mind that at all. Place it in any corner with low to medium light, near a window is fine too, just keep it out of strong direct afternoon sun.

Water it once every 2 to 3 weeks in summer, and even less in winter. Too much water is the main way to harm this plant, so when in doubt, wait a few more days. It is also known to help keep indoor air fresh, a smart pick for bedrooms and closed offices across Dubai and the wider UAE.
