Monstera Deliciosa

Monstera Deliciosa is easy to recognise by its big, glossy leaves with natural splits and holes, sometimes called the Swiss Cheese Plant. In the wild it climbs up tall trees in tropical forests using aerial roots.

It comes in a 30cm pot and grows 60 to 80cm tall at this stage, with more growth to come over the following years. It is a strong choice for a living room corner with bright, indirect light, and its bold leaves work well as a centrepiece plant in modern UAE homes.

Water it once the top 3 to 4cm of soil feels dry, usually once a week, and wipe the big leaves clean once in a while. As it grows, give it a small pole or stake to climb, which helps the leaves grow even bigger over time.
