Coriander (Kuzbara)

Coriander, known locally as Kuzbara, is a kitchen essential used fresh or as seeds in many UAE and South Asian dishes. It comes in a 12cm pot and grows quickly once planted.

It grows best in the cooler UAE months, from around October to March, since strong summer heat can cause it to flower and go to seed too early, which changes the leaf flavour.

Water it every 2 to 3 days, keeping the soil lightly moist at all times. For a steady supply, plant a new small batch every few weeks during the cool season, since coriander has a naturally short growing cycle before it needs replacing.
