Areca Palm (Outdoor)

This larger Areca Palm brings the same soft, feathery green fronds as its indoor cousin, but in a bigger size suited for gardens, villa entrances, and pool areas. It comes in a 50cm pot and stands about 1.5 metres tall.

It prefers a spot with bright light and some shelter from the strongest midday sun, and it works especially well planted in groups along a wall or near a seating area for a tropical, resort like feel.

Water it 3 to 4 times a week in summer months and less in winter, keeping the soil moist but not waterlogged. Misting the fronds or placing it near a pool area also helps it thrive in the drier parts of the UAE.
