Gazania

Gazania has bright, daisy like flowers in shades of orange, yellow, and red, with petals that open fully in strong sunlight and close up again in the evening or on cloudy days.

It comes in a 15cm pot and is especially suited to hot, sunny spots in a UAE garden or balcony, since it actually performs better with more direct sun rather than less.

Water it every 3 to 4 days, allowing the soil to dry out somewhat between waterings, as it does not like constantly wet roots. Its drought tolerance once established makes it a smart, colourful choice for low water UAE gardens.
