You do not need a big villa garden to make your home feel green. Even a small apartment can look and feel much better with a few well placed plants.
Use height, not just floor space
Hanging planters and shelves let you add plants without using floor space. A Money Plant or Spider Plant in a hanging basket near a window looks good and does not get in the way.
Mix leaf shapes
Put a big-leaf plant like Monstera next to something with thin leaves, like Snake Plant. The difference in shape makes a small corner look more interesting, instead of everything looking the same.
One statement plant is enough
You do not need ten plants everywhere. One bigger plant, like a Rubber Plant or Areca Palm, in the right corner can do more for the room than many small pots spread around.
Start small. Add one plant, see how it feels in the space, then add more when you are ready.
