5 Plants That Are Almost Impossible to Kill

If you are buying your first plant, do not start with something delicate. Start with one of these five. They are known for surviving low light, missed watering, and general beginner mistakes.

1. Snake Plant — can go weeks without water and is fine in low light.
2. ZZ Plant — shiny leaves, needs very little water, handles a dark corner well.
3. Money Plant (Pothos) — grows in water or soil, forgives almost anything.
4. Aloe Vera — needs sun but very little water, and is also useful when you get a small burn at home.
5. Spider Plant — grows fast, safe for pets, easy to propagate for friends.

Start with one or two of these. Once you get used to how they grow and when they need water, you will feel ready to try something more delicate.
